Dr. Walter Michael Strobl, born 1962 in Vienna, study of medicine, biology and journalism in Vienna, Heidelberg and Cape Town, training as physician for general medicine, specialist for Orthopaedics and orthopaedic surgery, psychosocial medicine, health care management, and Bobath therapy in Vienna, Graz, Heidelberg, Basel, and Boston,
works as an senior physician in the Orthopaedic Hospital Vienna-Speising, department for Paediatric Orthopaedics, since 1993 building up a center for motor development with clinical gait analysis laboratory, consultant at several Pediatric departments and rehabilitation centers in Austria,
more than 500 international scientific publications and lectures, and organized more than 50 advanced training seminars in Europe and the USA, head of the Austrian Board for Neuroorthopaedics, representative for the Neuroorthopaedic training in Austria, member of the Austrian Society for Orthopaedics and Orthopaedic Surgery, of the Austrian Society for Pediatrics, German speaking Association for Pediatric Orthopaedics, European Pediatric Orthopedic Society, American Academy for Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine, International Society for Prosthetics and Orthotics, Fellow of Orthopaedic Technology.
